Research Activities at Beuth University

Our University actively maintains more than 130 partnerships with other universities in Europe and beyond. This provides a sound basis for us to conduct collaborative international projects. In particular our University’s Research Division is committed to realizing an innovation-driven approach to conducting applied research through their collaboration with industry, research institutes and private and public organizations worldwide and thereby bringing about an effective transfer of technological knowhow. Moreover, presently our University is successfully participating in international research projects funded by the European research program HORIZON2020.

Our research focuses on innovation.

We offer optimal conditions for conducting high-quality, applied research at our University considering we have more than 90 laboratories and over 70 consecutive Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs. The high standards that we maintain benefit our collaboration with enterprises and research institutions as well as the quality of our teaching.

Our research is interdisciplinary in nature.

Our University takes an interdisciplinary approach: The expertise of professors from various academic departments and disciplines are brought together through the Competence Center “City of the Future” (link zu Seite Nr.R2), including three competence clusters (link zu Seite Nr.R2) that respond to the transdisciplinary, social challenges of future urban life. Beuth University’s Research Profile (link zu Seite Nr.R2) focusses on strategies and applied-research projects for the sustainable design of a living environment taking into consideration various ecological, social and economic aspects.

Our research is international in its outreach.

Through our cooperation with international research institutions and partners in industry, as a matter of course we take a competitive transnational approach to conducting our University’s research and development projects.
