International Degree Students and Applicants

International students can apply for anyone of the over 70 Bachelor and Master programmes by means of a simple and transparent procedure. This includes the online and distance learning programmes.
- The Student Counselling and Support Centre (Studienberatung) responds to all enquiries international applicants may have, such as how to apply, what the requirements are, what programmes are offered and all other details.
- The Registrar’s Office (Studienverwaltung) is in charge of all technical and administrative procedures: application, admission, registration, academic records and degrees.
- Once admitted, international students can turn to the international student centre (Betreuung internationaler Studierender) for guidance and counselling.
- Applicants who lack German language and other requirements necessary for enrolling can apply for admittance to a preparatory course (Studienkolleg), which is run in cooperation with the Technical University of Berlin.
All applications for studying at Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin should be sent online to UNI-ASSIST, the University Application Service for International Students. Certain deadlines must be met. In order to follow a course of study offered in the German language, applicants have to provide passing grades in one of two German tests, either the TestDaF (16 points required) administered by the Goethe-Institut or DSH-2, which is offered by German universities. Beuth University of Applied Sciences does not offer preparatory German courses or tests. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides a good overview of available and recommended language preparation and tests.
All students of Berlin universities have access to the services of the “Studentenwerk Berlin”, an organization which offers many kinds of support and assistance to students. One of the most important services of the “Studentenwerk Berlin” consists in running 35 halls of residence, a service which is especially important for new students. Dining halls, coffee bars and cafeterias on the university campuses are also run by this body. In addition, it offers general and psychological counselling, financial support and other services for students.
